Kingdoms of Life: Figures and Pix

Hi Again,
I am on a roll when it comes to  animal
replicas. Did you know that Schleich has "screensavers"
that would make good matching cards to their
animals. There are also coloring pages here:

The farm animals and other figures can be found here:
http://www.schleich-s.com/en/action_figures/toys/new_products/news_farm_life/farm_life_new_in_january_2011/index.html
I have been also looking for good cell and microscopic animal
models. I found these nice colorful plastic models through
Tedco Toys here:http://www.tedcotoys.com/dyn_prodlist.php?k=51117

There is print material included that could be used to
make description cards for the elementary level.
If your children/students are younger, simple
picture matching cards or three part cards would
work to match the models.

Classification with Safari Animals

Today I went to Red Ballon and found some toddler sized
plastic animals for classification. Then I went online
and found these pix  on their website. I will make
matching cards to go with these items. I was
so excited to find really cute versions of a
jellyfish, crab, snail, ladybug, starfish and
butterfly. I will be adding to this set as I
go along...

Hi All,
I've wanted to do a post regarding storage and space savers for
some time, so today I shall tackle the subject. Some suppliers
are becoming aware of the limited space of some Montessori
environments and addressing the issue. In order to leave open
space in the middle of the Montessori room  I am always on the lookout
for great and innovative space saving solutions!
(I'll be adding to this post...so I guess we could call it
officially UNDER CONSTRUCTION for a few days at least...)
For Practical Life storage I found a great post on this blog:
